What is Normal?

What is Normal? Who defines it? Why is someone else’s behavior or personality considered strange, and yours normal? Who decided this? Who are we to say what’s normal and what’s not? Who’s to say that you’re not the weird one, and they’re not the normal one?

Weird is subjective. Strange is subjective. Normal is subjective. So why do we give someone else the power to tell us what’s ok and what’s not, in regards to lifestyle and personality? Just because someone is different than you, doesn’t make them odd, it just makes them different…than you.

Take a stand for yourself and stop allowing people’s judgment of you to determine your feelings about yourself. Stop giving them that power.

You define what’s normal. Anyone else’s opinion or belief is simply that. What you believe is true becomes the truth for you. And what you’re convinced of unavoidably becomes your reality. Is your reality. So let go of their beliefs about you, and start embracing your own.
